WELCOME MESSAGE

Welcome to this blog created to share ideas and resources . The idea is to be able to use this blog to allow you to provide your own ideas on what you think, or feel about the texts you read. Your regular creation of reading logs, diary pages, and other kinds of entrances will develop your ability to interpret the characters' feelings, to think critically and to be able to capture those ideas when writing. Good Luck!

                                                   REVIEW

“The city of Ember” is a story about a messenger girl and a pipework  boy (Lina and Doon) who will discover a new city with the help of a message  they need to escape before it's too late and the city  disintegrates  as a result of an explosion.

Lina is a messenger who has always been dreaming of a new city; she likes to draw the city of her dreams. After her granny dies, Poppy (her little sister) and her lived with Mrs. Murdo.

Doon works in the pipe works and wants to fix the generator to give the city permanent light; he is Lina’s  best friend and both are the first to step on the new city of their dreams.

The great thing about the book is that it is really interesting and has a lot of tension all along the novel , but particularly at the end of it. It also shows that sometimes our dreams can come true. What I didn't like much was the descriptions. this novel has many difficult words, but you can understand them if you keep on reading.

I recommend it for people who like books about  adventure , friendship and mystery.  It also gives us an idea of how the world could look like in future. This is one of the books I most liked, I also recommend to have a dictionary  handy to deal with the difficult words
